What does the “Kiwi” in Primal Kiwi mean?
Kiwi in this case means New Zealander. We (affectionately) calls ourselves Kiwis (as do the Aussies, the Poms etc). The name comes from our national symbol, the flightless Kiwi. The fruit, Kiwi (also known as Chinese Gooseberry) was named thus for marketing purposes by New Zealand (Kiwi) exporters. See the section “names” in this wikipedia article for a more detailed explanation.
Quick information about New Zealand:
We are a small country – both land wise and population wise. The land mass of our country is comparable to Japan or (for those in North America) the state of Colorado, however, we have a population of 4 million people. Personally I like it like that. We have so much open space and it feels like everything is so clean and green; 14 National Parks comprise over 30% of our country’s size. Considering our small size, we do remarkably well internationally in many areas but most notably in sports.
